Do you remember those DIY natural evergreen wreath Do you remember those DIY natural evergreen wreaths we made back in December from scratch?

Well, they are still on display and still look great! Natural greenery holds up extremely well, and these wreaths will definitely remain on display all winter long.

The wreath pictured here was made with Princess Pines. These sometimes start to dry out a bit. If this happens, simply spray them with water and they will perk back up!

It’s not too late to make a wreath, and we have a simple tutorial to teach you how over on the blog. Here’s the link 👉 https://www.simplyrootedfarmhouse.com/how-to-make-a-natural-evergreen-wreath/

Today was a typical meal-prep Wednesday, and my ki Today was a typical meal-prep Wednesday, and my kids are officially tired of sourdough pancakes. So I needed to come up with something else for them to have for breakfast.

Then I remembered a recipe that I had seen here on IG, by my friend Marissa from @meetusinourgarden This is a vegan sourdough pumpkin muffin recipe sweetened with honey. I made 12 mini-muffins in cast iron muffin pans, and also made a loaf with the remainder of the batter.

Marissa and I go way back, we went to high school together and worked two jobs together after high school. Marissa makes incredible vegetarian/vegan foods, and shares her gardening and food preservation adventures and creations over on her Instagram account @meetusinourgarden. Marissa loves all things from scratch and handmade, just like we do! Be sure to pop over to her account to check out this recipe, and make these beautiful muffins for yourself.

Citrus always reminds me of summer, and today I am Citrus always reminds me of summer, and today I am really dreaming of warmer weather!

I love to add citrus to body scrubs, not only for the aroma, but for the vitamin C benefits as well. Afterall, Vitamin C is known to help lighten, brighten and tighten our skin!

Ready to whip up a body scrub (and pretend it's summer)?
1 C sugar
1/2 C coconut oil
10-15 drops of essential oils (I'm using orange)

Mix the ingredients together and store in a jar.

Aahh, it nearly feels like summer already ...

Hey Simply Rooted Community! I'm looking for your Hey Simply Rooted Community!

I'm looking for your feedback on this ... I am thinking about writing a post about meal planning/food prepping and would like to know if this is something you would enjoy reading.

While I love to feed my family home-cooked, healthy foods, I don't want to spend every day in the kitchen. So when it comes to meal prep, I try to make it so I only cook twice per week.
